Summer Vacation is upon us and what better place to spend it than beautiful Coronado California.

For the Active Vacationer:

Get a quick 18 holes in at the municipal Coronado Golf Course overlooking the scenic Coronado Bridge and Gloretta Bay.

If you aren't into golf there are four public tennis courts to choose from. They are located at 1501 Glorietta Blvd, 55 D Ave, and 1014 6th St. as well as in the Coronado Cays.

The Coronado Municipal Pool is another fun way to stay active this summer with access to the lap pool or engage in water aerobics.

If you are into water sports there are several spots on the island to rent stand up paddleboards, jet skis, paddle boats or even sailboats.

There are also places all over town to rent bikes, surreys or embark on a Segway Adventure.

For the Family Vacation:

Head over to Bikes & Beyond by the Ferry Landing and you and your crew can rent bikes and ride along the bayside path that takes you under the bridge and along the Coronado Golf Course.

Coronado Kayak Tour of the San Diego skyline and the Coronado Bridge starts at 11am and you have the option of a single, double or triple kayak!

After your day of fun head over to the Hotel Del for S'mores on the Beach where the staff hooks it up with a private beach bonfire and all the goodies for a perfect S'more.

For the Couple:

Spend the day relaxing together on the beach and rent a Private Cabana from the Hotel Del. This includes full food and beverage service and a shaded getaway.

Next, take a 90-minute walking tour of the historic Hotel Del Coronado. These take place Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 10:30 a.m. and at 2:00 p.m. on weekends.

Loews Coronado Bay Resort offers a chance to unwind with spa treatments. In the afternoon head over to the marina for an authentic Venetian Gondola Cruise through the Coronado Cays.

Wine tasting it up next for you two love birds at Wine A Bit on Orange Ave. Cozy up and watch the sunset to finish the evening up right.

Something everyone can enjoy!

Old Town Trolley is a fun way to get around town in style without worrying where to park! The trolley leaves the front of Mc P’s Irish Pub and the Coronado Ferry Landing and offers nine stops to San Diego’s most popular attractions. Some include: San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park, Old Town State Historic Park, the Embarcadero, Seaport Village, Little Italy, Horton Plaza and the Gaslamp Quarter.

If you are interested in seeing the Historic Homes of Coronado rent bikes from Little Sam’s Island & Beach Fun right off of Orange. Biking around town is a great way to see the entire Island while getting some healthy exercise in.
